Cellar Viader

Location: Gelida, Alt Penedès

Speciality: Corpinnat sparkling wines and still wines from indigenous and selected varieties.

Celler Viader is the personal project of agronomist and winemaker Eduard Viader, who began making his own sparkling wines in 2009. Since 2018, the winery has been based at Can Rossell de la Llena, a historic farmhouse surrounded by vineyards near Espiells, where sustainability and respect for the landscape are central to the project.

The winery works with grapes from its own estate as well as neighbouring plots in the north-eastern Penedès. The area’s shallow clay-limestone soils contribute freshness, structure, and a strong capacity for long ageing in sparkling wines.

Corpinnat production combines precision with traditional craftsmanship. Bottles are stacked, riddled, and disgorged by hand, while longer-aged cuvées are matured under cork, preserving techniques historically associated with fine sparkling wine production in the Penedès.

Celler Viader combines a youthful, contemporary vision with traditional methods, producing expressive Corpinnat and still wines that reflect the landscape and character of the Penedès.
