Caves Nadal is a historic family estate whose roots in viticulture date back to the 16th century. The first Nadal sparkling wine was produced in 1943, and the winery remains closely tied to the Nadal de la Boadella estate, working exclusively with grapes grown on its own vineyards.
The vineyards are organically certified and managed with a strong focus on sustainability, dry farming, soil health, and biodiversity. Native Penedès varieties such as Macabeu, Xarel·lo, Parellada, Xarel·lo Vermell, and Malvasia de Sitges are central to production.
Traditional-method Corpinnat sparkling wines are aged for extended periods in the estate’s underground cellars, from around 30 months to exceptionally long-aged releases. Nadal also produces still Xarel·lo wines and distinctive sweet wines, including wines made from naturally botrytised Macabeu.
Nadal was one of the six founding wineries behind Corpinnat and reflects its philosophy particularly clearly: estate-grown organic fruit, indigenous varieties, traditional-method production, long ageing, and a strong commitment to the identity of the Penedès.
